Expanding your use of EA can be tricky. New user populations probably don't have your experience, so just buying them some more licences will probably just create chaos. Why do they want to use EA?
Modelling, but the right way or How to Succeed with your Modelling Approach Part 2
Prolaborate is the sharing, collaboration and analytics component of the Sparx Architecture Platform. the real value of the comprehensive model information created using Sparx EA is manifested when its presented to the wider non-EA community in a curated and easy to understand manner. Prolaborate is carefully designed to achieve this. The training session will give a comprehensive overview of the capabilities, with step by step walkthrough on setting up the required views and viewpoints in Prolaborate to cater to different stakeholders. The training will also give a hands-on overview of consuming model diagrams, reports, dashboards and participating in reviews and discussions to share feedback on model information to enable the wider, overarching teams
There are specific problems that need to be solved with specific solutions. Addins and scripting are very useful tools to achieve those value solutions that the client often needs. In this workshop we will teach you 2 specific cases
Sparx Systems has been a market leader for more than 22 years by watching the market trends closely. Since the main COVID waves we have witnessed significant changes in the way people work with a considerable shift towards remote working - forcing that 'digital transformation' everyone has been searching for. In this session we will discuss the features of Enterprise Architect 16 that facilitate collaborative modeling, advancements in Pro Cloud Server to enable a seamless integrated platform, revamp and redesign of Prolaborate to foster Collaboration and Sharing. Further to that we will look into the new EA SaaS offering, a fully cloud-based, ready-to-use platform that enables customers to start their architecture journey on the cloud or transition their current infrastructure to the cloud.
What are the differences between diagramming tools and modeling tools? One of the differences is that modeling tools can 'connect' diagrams.Traceability is a valuable connection in the model. I will introduce the benefits of Traceability and how to define Traceability by using Enterprise Architect.
Advance your modeling skills and get productivity gains from Enterprise Architect with tips and tricks gleaned from more than two decades of consulting, mentoring, and training.
Many of us need to manage multiple changes being developed by several projects working in the same EA model at the same time. But how can we maintain order, have clear version control, and avoid costly rework? Ian will review the available options and introduce a new approach for managing multiple projects in the same model, which also delivers insights to the wider business, with impact analyses and visibility of project dependencies. And he will demonstrate a time machine...
Sigma is a Systems engineering Workbench where engineers and technical management can work together during the System Life-cycle.
Many organisations work in multiple teams utilising shared assets for individual teams as well as global assets shared by all teams. If a single repository is used for all teams and all assets, controlling visibility and access to these assets becomes very problematic. Although not a new feature of Enterprise Architect, the Reusable Asset Service (RAS), provides a solution to managing assets for multiple teams. This presentation describes the issues with sharing assets in a single repository and the solution using a RAS. The description of the RAS will describe the infrastructure required as well as the structure and use of a RAS. The presentation will conclude with a demonstration of multiple projects using a single RAS. This demonstration will be presented using EA version 16 64 bit.

Many organisations are searching for opportunities to become data driven. However for introducing a data driven approach you have to gain an overview of the data relevant for the organisation. The Data Management Body of Knowledge is a great framework for data management. Sparx Enterprise Architect is a great tool for creating data management models, and configure this tool for introducing a Data Management Register.
We present a maturity model that has been valid and in force for almost 10 years and has been used by numerous Latin American companies, of various sectors and sizes, to successfully activate and adopt the Sparx solution.Aimed at those who tried to implement the Enterprise Architect solution in their company and did not achieve the expected results, or for those who want to start the way of adopting this powerful family of Sparx Systems products and do not know what steps to take to achieve it.
As the world emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic, organizations are making the transition to a “new normal” Architects play an important role in enabling this transition. Earlier this year, a survey was conducted to assess the “State of Enterprise Architecture” and understand the trends and forces impacting individual architects, architecture practices and organizations seeking to leverage architecture to support their business transitions. In this session, Ryan Schmierer, VP of Operations from Sparx Services North America will be presenting a summary of the survey findings along with some insights about what the responses mean to Architecture leaders, IT practitioners and consultants in the Sparx Systems Community. You will have an opportunity in this session to contribute your thoughts as well and engage in a Q&A session about the important issues that impact your team and your stakeholders.
Over the past few years, the focus of architecture work has been shifting away from architecture design towards architecture analysis. Many organizations are looking to the Sparx Systems Architecture Platform to serve as the hub to integrate data from distributed systems of record and map the “connective tissue” that is essential to understanding how the organization functions. In this session, Chris Armstrong and Ryan Schmierer from Sparx Services North America will be discussing the growing trend around architecture analysis, the role integrated data plays in developing architecture insights, and the opportunities and challenges of integrating the Sparx Systems Architecture Platform with other systems of record.
